Prabowo urges cleaner Indonesia to boost tourism

President Prabowo Subianto has emphasized that Indonesia needs to become a cleaner, more beautiful, and better-organized nation in order to attract more international visitors. Speaking at a recent event, he pointed out that the country's natural beauty alone is not enough to compete with other global destinations. He stressed that hygiene, public order, and overall environmental management play a major role in how tourists perceive a nation.

Prabowo noted that many travelers choose destinations based not only on scenery but also on the quality of public facilities, waste management, and the general tidiness of cities and tourist spots. He called on local governments and communities to take greater responsibility in maintaining cleanliness in public areas, beaches, parks, and cultural sites. The President also mentioned that a cleaner environment would improve the quality of life for residents and support long-term economic growth.

He further suggested that better organization in tourism management, including clearer regulations and improved services, would help Indonesia stand out in a crowded regional market. The government, he said, is committed to supporting infrastructure and training programs that align with these goals. Prabowo's remarks come as part of a broader push to increase tourism revenue and create more jobs in the sector. He urged all Indonesians to see cleanliness as a matter of national pride, not just a government duty.
