The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with 20 public and private sector organizations, is set to embark on a significant nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing the country's tourism sector through sustainability. From June 1 to June 30, a unique river and canal clean-up campaign will take place, reflecting a commitment to preserving Thailand's natural beauty and promoting eco-friendly tourism practices.
This initiative is part of a larger vision to achieve sustainable tourism goals by 2030. The clean-up campaign will not only address environmental concerns but also engage local communities and raise awareness about the importance of protecting waterways that are vital to both ecosystems and tourism. Participants will include volunteers from various sectors, showcasing a united effort towards a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
By fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, this initiative aims to set a precedent for future sustainable practices in the tourism industry, ensuring that Thailand remains a desirable destination for years to come.
